LOVE xoxo!

God is love, however from a lowly human perspective, I would like define love and how I have chosen to be treated. You see, I grew up in a home where there was genuine love and for me as I traverse the world I have come to realise very few have been privileged to know what true love is. I am grateful to be one of those few and have chosen to write a message to those who search for love.

Love is deeper than anything, physical, sexual or materialistic. Love is when another person cherishes who you are and want you to be YOU. As I have travelled many roads I have met “friends” who constantly wants to change or criticise who I am. There is absolutely no fun in constant unnecessary criticism and trying to be another person in order to be convenient to that “friend”. You try to express your concerns, they hear but fail to listen, comprehend and realise that love is supporting one when one has nothing, being positive and being a spark to someone else’s life. To feel at utmost calm and peace, where words can flow and absolutely no judgement.

Aside from my beautiful family who I desperately love and adore, I have met two friends that greatly impacted my life and chose to love ME. Today I lay in sadness, as the two friends that truly loved me both died in the same year. When someone you love dies, the pain never goes away, you walk around forever wanting that last conversation to say goodbye, I will miss you… but regretfully it never happens. The funny thing I really realised how much we loved each other after they died. I must add that the love was deep, we never had arguments, we loved each other too much to dare to hurt each other's feelings.

As I have recognised the fragility of life I have decided that only the persons that love me can be in my life. I have also chosen to love in return, never judging and supporting their dreams. I have also chosen to not waste a minute or second with “ friends” who I find are emotionally abusive ( through their constant criticism), controlling, manipulative or trying to limit my dreams.

Everyone has different paths to follow. Live life with those who truly love you, who will stand the test of times. If I have chosen not to be your friend please understand, I love you and sincerely want the best for you, however, there comes a time when everyone must make a choice and I have chosen to surround myself with only LOVE.
