My Future, Travelling the World!

Where will this world take me, I long to see a world that I can’t grasp firmly with my hands, I long to make intimate connections to understand the human mind. I strive to see a world like it has never been seen before, to see the art. Take a longer look at the stroke of an artist painting, not only pausing for a few minutes, but to be drawn into a world of understanding and expression. 

 

I feel to feel, I feel to express, the manifestation of the pain itself into beautiful art and poetry, let evolve let it take course let it move to the rhythm of the soul healing beneath, thus transforming the soul into to perfection, into perfect peace.

 

Knowing that I will not be clenched by his dark hands, I will break free conquering, smiling, no control I say. I look forward with great resilience and an attitude of happiness none cannot change, transforming to who I am a definite, permanent, confident I and confident me, never to be affected by a you or a we or a us or a they.

We try to understand, but is that really necessary to become sympathetic or empathetic to one's pain? This is the theme that underscored the recent documentary Self-portrait, based on the life story of the renowned photographer Lena Marie Fossen, who struggled with the eating disorder anorexia nervosa. Lena’s anorexia began at 10 years old, when she decided that she wanted to remain a child and not grow up, why she came to this conclusion was never addressed in the documentary. I think to some extent all of us are nostalgic to our childhood, a time of innocence, being carefree, being protected and no worries at all, perhaps in some way she wanted to hold onto this time. Paul Cézanne born in 1839, Aix-en Provence was a Post-impressionist French painter who became the bridge between impressionism and early modern art such as Cubism. One of his most recognized pieces is ‘The Large Bathers’ that was produced towards the end of his life.  In this painting he did not conform to nineteenth century methods and was applauded by critics for its wide spaces, well –formed figures and use of color (Artble, 2013).
