  I think that backpacking across Europe is one of the greatest adventures, here are my top ten European Countries to visit:

1. France -  it is popular for a reason, no city in France  is exactly the same and the food is great!

2. England - London city is the place to go

3. Germany- visit Berlin lots of history about  World War II

4. Belgium - They have quaint cities like Brugge

5. Sweden- know for is picturesque landscape and environment friendly surroundings

6. Norway - beautiful Scandinavia

7. Denmark- similar to Sweden and Norway, has it own unique feel

8. Switzerland - visit Geneva, lots of museums to go to

9. Spain - one of the cheapest places to shop in Europe

10.  Greece - known for it is food  and  ancient history

We try to understand, but is that really necessary to become sympathetic or empathetic to one's pain? This is the theme that underscored the recent documentary Self-portrait, based on the life story of the renowned photographer Lena Marie Fossen, who struggled with the eating disorder anorexia nervosa. Lena’s anorexia began at 10 years old, when she decided that she wanted to remain a child and not grow up, why she came to this conclusion was never addressed in the documentary. I think to some extent all of us are nostalgic to our childhood, a time of innocence, being carefree, being protected and no worries at all, perhaps in some way she wanted to hold onto this time. Cezanne, Matisse and Picasso

Paul Cézanne born in 1839, Aix-en Provence was a Post-impressionist French painter who became the bridge between impressionism and early modern art such as Cubism. One of his most recognized pieces is ‘The Large Bathers’ that was produced towards the end of his life.  In this painting he did not conform to nineteenth century methods and was applauded by critics for its wide spaces, well –formed figures and use of color (Artble, 2013). Cézanne was able to fulfill his purpose of creating a timeless piece.
